Identifying Learner Story & Testimonial Opportunities

Facilitators are often the first to hear about the impact eCornell programs have on learners. When a learner shares a meaningful outcome or positive experience, you may invite them to submit a story or testimonial through our official submission form.

What to Look For

Consider sharing the story submission link when a learner mentions:

  • A promotion, new role, or career advancement
  • Applying course concepts successfully at work
  • Measurable business or team results
  • Increased confidence or professional growth
  • A meaningful personal or professional transformation
  • Strong enthusiasm about their learning experience

You do not need to share the link with every positive comment. Consider sharing it when a learner shares a meaningful story, outcome, or impact that others may find valuable or inspiring.

Suggested Response

Consider sending a communication such as the below when a student has reached out to when a learned shares a meaningful story, outcome, or impact that others may find valuable or inspiring:

"Thank you for sharing your experience! We're so glad to hear about the impact the course has had.

If you'd be interested in sharing your story more broadly, we'd love to hear from you. You can submit a written testimonial, photo, or short video through our story submission form:

Sharing your experience is completely optional, but your story may help future learners better understand the value of the eCornell experience."

The form linked in this communication also includes a permission checkbox at the end so we have approval to potentially use the testimonial in marketing materials. If a student shares kudos directly in a message exchange instead, we would need you or your PFM to ask for permission within that conversation before we could use it externally.

Important Notes

  • Participation is completely voluntary.
  • Do not collect testimonials directly.
  • Do not promise that a submitted story will be featured.
  • Do not promise or imply compensation, incentives, or reciprocal payment in exchange for a testimonial.
  • Direct interested learners to the official submission form.
