Course Set Up: When can I begin to edit my course?

Every eCornell course section is generated from a master copy of that course. An individual section is automatically populated with course content one week before the course's start date. (Prior to that, the section is an empty "shell.")

Therefore, you can only complete the setup tasks covered in this module after the course content is automatically loaded into the section.

Please not attempt to import/export content into your course shell yourself. If you do not see content in your course by Friday before the course starts, please contact ec_courseops@cornell.edu.

Course Set Up Checklist

Please use the Course Set Up Checklist to help guide your set-up actions for each course.

We recommend you have your course set up by the end of the day on the Monday before the course starts.
