Setting Custom Capacity for Resources

Setting Custom Capacity for Resources in Wrike Workload Charts

The custom capacity feature allows you to change the daily allocation limit for team members on Workload charts. An example of custom capacity is if an employee works a different schedule from the Wrike default daily allocation limit of 8 hours. Wrike remembers and considers any change you make to a team member's daily allocation limit.

Wrike applies custom capacity settings per chart, so you need to configure the custom capacity for each Workload chart separately.
  1. Open a Workload chart in upper right corner "..." button.
  2. Choose 'Custom Capacity'
In the pop-up menu, you have a couple options:
  3. Enter a default daily capacity for all team members linked to the chosen Workload chart
    OR
  4. Set custom capacity values for one or more team members.
  5. Click 'Apply'
  6. Custom capacity for all users is visible in the upper left corner of the chart.
  7. Individual capacity values are to the right of each user as seen in the diagram above (next to the green 7 icon.)
Color-coded cels play an important role in Workload charts:

White = Cells with 0 effort.

Partially colored = The cells with the effort allocation from 0 to the custom capacity limit that you set. The amount of cell coloring is proportionate to the ratio between free time and allocated effort.

Red = The cells where the number of allocated hours is the same as the custom capacity or exceeds it.
