Studio Accessibility

The purpose of this article is to inform best practices for understanding studio accessibility for faculty and experts.

South Hill Business Campus and all studios located at the eCornell main office are ADA compliant.
  • There are three main studios located in the eCornell offices: Marcy, Algonquin, and Haystack. The fourth studio, The Loft, is located on the second floor of the South Hill Business Campus.
  • All studios are wheelchair accessible, including elevators to access the second floor.

Video producers are available at any time to assist and provide support for faculty partners and/or educational experts visiting the studios, including:

  • Guidance to necessary locations within the office or building
  • Visual cues for hearing impairment
  • Audio cues for visual impairment
  • Assistance for mobility concerns

The video production studios are equipped with technology designed to assist with any accessibility needs. This is including, but not limited to:

  • Technological setups designed to accommodate faculty in using their own devices that may have specialized accessibility programs (screen reader, customized fonts)
  • Adaptable teleprompters (color, font style, font size, software)
  • Teleprompter advancement options (hand remote, foot pedal, voice activation)

The video production team can also conduct remote video shoots so that the subject may still record videos at home if appearing in person in the studios is not an option due to medical, physical, or cognitive accessibility concerns.
