Stock Image Request Process

  1. IDs can save proposed images to boards (Getty Images) or collections (Shutterstock) for any course needing imagery.
  2. In the comments section of the Collab Doc (for illustrators) or tool draft (for graphic designers), add a hyperlink and the ID numbers for each image where the photo is required.
It is important to include the ID number in case the link populates an error or doesn't direct you to the correct page.
  3. Images will then go through approval by key stakeholders.
Watermarked images will be used while images go through approval
  4. Once images have been approved, the illustrator will download the hi-res images and add them to a folder they will create within the Artboards folder in Frame
    1. For tools, the graphic designer will download the hi-res images and add them to the CSG Google Drive folder

Best Practices / Keep in Mind:

  • Horizontal images are preferable due to video aspect ratio but a conversation could be had with the illustrator if there are specific images needed.
  • In the case that a new image is needed, the ID will search for and provide a new image
We do not have access to premium photos. We also can not download any editorial images.
For Illustrators
  • Within the Collab Doc, Illustrator will leave motion direction indicating:
    • The link to the image can be found in the IDs comment to the right
    • The placement of the image within the artboard (ie: Use our ⅔ template with the image cropped to fit the full gray area.)
    • In the motion handoff, the illustrator will inform the motion designer where to find the final high res images once approved
For tools
  • Within the draft of the tool, IDs should leave the following:
    • Comment the hyperlink to the stock image that should be used
    • Add a screenshot of the image directly on to the tool draft
