eCornell Rubrics for Effective Course Facilitation

The downloadable documents found on this page contain rubrics that outline our expectations for course facilitation. These are meant to be guides that apply to most programs. Some programs will have variations, which will be documented in Program Facilitation Guides and/or in the Facilitator Notes within each course.

Please reach out to the Facilitation Support Team at ec_facilitation@cornell.edu if you have any questions regarding these rubrics. This article also provides additional guidance on grading expectations and timelines.

Note on dedicated sections: dedicated sections are those set up and run for a single client. They typically include additional responsibilities for the assigned facilitators. These are shared with the facilitator upon assignment of a dedicated section.
