How do I Grade Quizzes?

How do I Grade Quizzes?

Most quizzes in eCornell courses are multiple choice, and automatically graded. You will not need to grade these quizzes.

Most quizzes are auto-graded, providing students immediate feedback on their quiz submission. A 100% score in each quiz is encouraged, but not required.

We encourage you to check the grading scheme and syllabus for your course before you facilitate it for the first time. The grading scheme for your course can be found from clicking "Settings" page, and scrolling down to Grading Scheme.

Occasionally, you may run into quizzes that must be manually graded. To grade these, go to the gradebook and enter the Speedgrader (steps for how to navigate the Gradebook and get to the Speedgrader can be found in this article).

The Speedgrader will show you all of the questions for the quiz, and the student’s responses.

If you feel the student has responded appropriately and answered the questions, you will need to manually provide a grade in the upper right hand corner of each question.
