Copy Editing Content in Frame.io

Markette Pierce Updated by Markette Pierce

Prior to animation, copy editors review artboards in Frame.io to ensure there are no typos and the text follows eC standard styling. This process will save costly revisions post third-party animation.

Once you are assigned, use the following process to copy-edit artboards.

  1. In Wrike, open the Frame.io link from the comments. Log into Frame.io or create an account, if it is your first time.
  2. Open the Artboards folder. You may see a combination of .png files and .ai files mixed together. If you see the same image with both .png and .ai file types, leave comments on the PNG file.
  3. To call out a change:
    1. Use the tools at the bottom of the page to point out issues. The rainbow palette icon can be used for shapes/arrows.
    2. Leave a text comment/arrow with requested changes — do not tag the illustrator in Frame.
    3. If the status at top right is “Approved,” change to “In Progress.” If status is “In Progress,” leave it as is.
    4. Keep a note of the file name of the asset requiring changes.
  4. Once review of all artboards is complete, return to Wrike ticket and tag the Illustrator (found in top right in Frame.io) and Steve Bayne in Wrike. In the comment, list the assets requiring edits.
    1. The illustrator will tag you again once edits are made. Review the revisions; if another round of editing is needed, change status to “In Progress” and tag them in Wrike again.
  5. If no edits needed, tag the Illustrator to let them know CE is complete and no changes are needed.
