How Do I Edit My Canvas Profile?

Your Canvas Profile/Biography will be seen by students, and is a great way to introduce yourself and share information regarding your professional background.  On your Dashboard under the Account icon on the left-hand side, there is a Profile option.

In this Profile option, you can easily add a photo of yourself by clicking on the circle, and it will allow you to add your photo. We also would request you add a biography, and you can do that by clicking on the Edit Profile button:

Please keep in mind that if you will be facilitating along different verticals of our courses — for example, if you're going to do HR courses and leadership courses — make sure that your bio covers your qualifications and your work experiences that cover both areas, as this bio will be available to students in all courses.

Professional Profile

You are welcome to add your work with eCornell on your professional profiles.  Although eCornell is a part of Cornell, facilitators aren't technically part of the academic hierarchy of the University.  So, except for those of you who do have some kind of faculty status at the University, here is our guidance on what you could put on your professional profile:

Employer: Cornell University

Title: eCornell Course Facilitator

[Add the areas in which you specialize, as you deem appropriate.]

You can edit your Profile, or Biography, in Canvas by clicking the "Account" icon on your left-hand navigation menu, and then clicking "profile",
