How Do I Request Time Off (Blackout Dates)?

For the days and times that you are unable to facilitate courses, you must enter the dates in Ursus before the 15th of each month. It is imperative that blackout dates are entered in as soon as possible, as re-assignments are extremely challenging to finalize the closer we get to a courses' start dates.

For example, if you are unable to facilitate for any dates in August, you must enter them before July 15th.

Please note that when schedules are generated, a facilitator will not be assigned to facilitate a course if any blackout date is chosen over the duration of the course. If a facilitator requires a single day and still wants to facilitate a course, please coordinate with your Program Facilitation Manager (PFM) to communicate this and determine the best way to enter the time.

How To Enter "Blackout Dates" in Ursus

To enter your blackout dates, first login to Ursus and navigate to Schedule from the top menu bar.

This will open up the Calendar. From the calendar, select the start date and drag across the date span you will be unavailable. The selection will autosave.
