Cornell Copyright Information

eCornell is guided by University Counsel and published guidelines when making decisions about what's allowable to include in our courses. Whether a course is for-credit vs. non-credit is not the deciding factor in whether third party content can be reused.

Please note: What's allowable for a professor to share in a live classroom setting with enrolled students is much more broad than what's allowable for recorded, electronically disseminated course products that eCornell creates and distributes.

Please visit the Cornell Copyright Information Center for more information.

In addition, please use the Fair Use Checklist when determining the correct course of action to take with a piece of content from another source.
